Hi! My name is Jynx! It's been my name for as long as I can remember.

My story is a bit of a sad one. I was living with a college student, her roommate, and 2 cats for the first part of my known life, so at least 2 years. While there, I wasn't getting the attention that I needed or the training. My previous owner reported that I started to bark at anything that moved while on walks so I was not allowed to interact with anyone, and eventually she just stopped taking me out for walks altogether :(
My foster family has not had any issues to support this though.

I did well with the cats and the people in the home but when the school year ended, she decided to surrender me to a shelter rather than taking me back home with her. I was terrified in the shelter and declining fast so I was transferred to rescue to help me find my footing and my new forever home!

I’m happy go lucky, carefree, engaging, adaptive, and cheerful! Nothing would make me happier than to find a family to devote myself to! You won’t find a more dedicated, loving companion! I have learned to get along with other dogs while at the rescue, I hadn't socialized with them much before. I can live with another dog if we get along or be an only dog! Though I would not do well with small children.

My foster parents have helped me to learn manners or what we call 'Petiquette' and how to be calm. They have observed me at play and feel that I would be good at small dog agility with training! I love to do ballet circles for treats!

Exercise keeps me happy and content, without it, I can get a little worked up. I do best when I have had a chance to get my energy out so that I can be calm later. Going for walks, engaging in play, and doing outdoor activities with my new family daily would make me very happy! I would make a great playmate but would also love to join you on the couch, I’m happy either way!
