Hi! My name is Lizzy! Lizzy the Lizard :)

I was transferred from the shelter after being rescued from a neglectful situation. I was very skinny so I needed time to recover, get healthy and gain some weight. Now that I am back to where I should be, I’m happy go lucky, carefree, engaging, adaptive, and cheerful!

As a beardie, I require my own habitat as we do best housed individually. With the right diet, habitat, substrate, temperature, and humidity I can live a long and healthy life of up to 12 to 14 years!

I love to be with my people, bask in the sun (supervised), and get plenty of exercises. I'm a great eater and my favorite food is a raspberry treat!.

My age determines what I eat! I currently need to eat 20% protein and 75% veggies and 5% fruit. Basically, a good salad topped with a few bugs for flavor. I was not fed the right foods in my previous home so I am still working on getting used to greens but I am doing better and better with each feeding. Description:
The bearded dragon is probably the most popular pet lizard by virtue of it having more of a personality than most other lizards. Beardies are widely captive bred and their care requirements are easily established given the right information. Beardies come from very hot regions of Australia and like it hot. Beardies eat insects and plant material and are usually very hardy feeders.
