Hi, my name is Spiderman!

I was found as a stray and taken to the shelter. We do not hibernate though many think we do. Unfortunately, many families don't take the necessary precautions to ensure that we stay secure. If you are considering adopting me, you will need to take those precautions so I don't get lost again :)

Did you know that I can live to be over 80 years old and I can grow to weigh over 100lbs!? You probably wouldn’t believe that with the size I am now. But it is true. I will grow up to be a giant bulldozer and an eating machine!

My diet primarily consists of grasses and hay, so I would love to live in an outdoor enclosure with tons of grass, hay and plants I can eat. There are quite a bit of plants I am not allowed to eat, so it is important to do your research!

I do LOVE to dig. So it will be very important that my enclosure is tortoise proof and that I cannot dig out and escape. Although I may be slow, I can still get pretty far in a short amount of time.

Remember I am small and cute now, but I live a long time and could even outlive you, so it is important to have a younger family member lined up to take care of me later that is a tortoise lover too.
