Hi there, I’m Rocco! 🐾 I’m an adult, 15-pound Puggle with a heart as big as my playful energy. At first, I might seem a little cautious, but once I feel comfortable, my happy-go-lucky personality shines through. Think of me as a tough guy on the outside but a total teddy bear on the inside! I’ve been thriving in my foster home, where I’ve been learning important “petiquette” and working on commands like sit, stay, come, and loose-leash walking. I’m crate trained and love having a cozy spot to call my own. Baby gates, though? No challenge for me—I just want to be where you are, which is why being crate trained has been such a good thing for me. I’m also a marker, so I’m looking for a home with patience to help me learn that potty breaks should only happen outside. In the meantime, I’m perfectly fine wearing “pants” indoors, as long as you remember to take them off before I head outside. Working with a positive reinforcement trainer who has experience with marking would be a wonderful way for us to grow together, too. I love to play and might even be a great candidate for small dog agility with the right training. Whether I’m entertaining you with my goofy antics or curling up on the couch for snuggles, I’m happy to do it all. I do well with other dogs when I’m properly introduced and would enjoy a buddy who matches my rough-and-tumble energy but can also set a good example for me. I’d also do just fine as an only dog, as long as I have plenty of engagement and companionship. As a smart and energetic little guy, I’m looking forward to long daily walks when it’s cool outside, a healthy, high-quality diet, and annual vet check-ups to help me feel my very best. Because of my size, age, and personality, I’d do best in a home with mature or older children who understand boundaries. My past is a bit of a mystery since I was found wandering the streets, but I’m ready to leave that chapter behind and start fresh with a loving forever home. If you’re considering adopting me, I hope you’ll remember the Rule of 3s: The first 3 days are for decompressing and adjusting to a safe, quiet space. The next 3 weeks are for learning routines, building trust, and bonding. And in 3 months, I’ll truly feel at home, confident, and part of the family. With patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, I know I’ll thrive. If you’re looking for a smart, independent, and loyal companion, I think we might just be the perfect fit. 💛 Click the Adoption Application button below to get started, and one of our adoption counselors will be in touch!
