🐩💛 Hi there, I’m Mocha! 🍫 I’m a 13-lb chocolate miniature poodle mix with a happy little bounce in my step—very typical of us poodles! I love getting out and about with my person. Long walks, scenic hikes, and car rides 🚗 are some of my absolute favorite things. If you’re someone who likes adventures during the day and relaxing evenings at home, we might be the perfect match. I’m looking for a calm, low-energy home without kids where I can really settle in and shine. While I can have dog friends, if I’m being honest… I prefer being the princess of the house 👑. I’m happiest as the only dog where I don’t have to share my person, though I’m totally fine meeting friends on walks or visiting occasionally. I’m not looking to be a pocket pet—I want to be a true companion. I may only weigh 13 pounds, but I’m definitely too big (and too independent!) to spend all day being carried around. I’d much rather be your sidekick for car rides, neighborhood strolls, and nature hikes 🌿. Now, I’ll be honest about one of my quirks. I’m still learning how to “dog.” Sometimes when I play, I can be a little awkward and it can look like resource guarding. Because of that, I’m hoping for a patient human who is willing to learn my signals and help guide me—or someone who already has experience with dogs who need help building good habits. With the right understanding and structure, I do really well. I actually love toys 🎾—but I enjoy them best when I’m relaxing in my own safe space (like my crate or room). When I’m socializing with people, toys and food should be put away so everyone can relax. Having clear boundaries like that helps me feel secure. A few other important things about me: ✨ I’m potty trained and crate trained. ✨ I thrive with routine, patience, and positive guidance. ✨ Like many poodles, I have food allergies, so I’ll need to stay on a fish-based diet. Other proteins just don’t agree with my system. ✨ I enjoy exercise and adventures, but I also appreciate a peaceful home where I can unwind. If you’re someone who wants a loyal little adventure buddy by your side—one who will happily hop in the car for the next outing but also enjoy quiet evenings at home—I might be your girl.
