Hi there, I’m Cassiopia, but my friends call me Cassie! I’m a small but happy adult girl with a big heart who’s really just waiting to find my person. I was originally found as a stray, and when I ended up in the shelter, I was shy and fearful. Because of that, I was transferred to this rescue where I could feel safe and have the chance to truly blossom. Now I’m ready to find a forever home of my very own. Right now, I’m on a little weight loss journey (8 lbs, but I should be 6), so I’m looking forward to daily walks, a healthy, high-quality diet, and annual vet check-ups to help me feel my very best. I promise to be a great walking buddy—and maybe even your cheerleader too! I’d love to be your one and only, since I have a low tolerance for other dogs and absolutely no interest in sharing my home with cats. I’d also do best in a home without young kids, but I’d be happy to share my space with older, respectful children who understand boundaries. I’m crate trained and also use pee pads, so I’ve got a great start! With a little guidance, I should catch on to potty training in my new home pretty quickly. I just need someone patient and consistent who will help me settle in. If you’re considering adopting me, I hope you’ll remember the Rule of 3s - 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months: The first 3 days are for decompressing and adjusting to a safe, quiet space. The next 3 weeks are for learning routines, building trust, and bonding. And in 3 months, I’ll truly feel at home, confident, and part of the family. With patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, I know I’ll thrive.
