Meet Happy – A Sweet Soul Ready to Find Her Person! 🐾 Happy is a 5-year-old, 18-pound possible spaniel mix — and without a doubt, a true unicorn of a dog. With her heart full of love and a gentle spirit just waiting to bloom, Happy is ready to find the forever home she’s been dreaming of. Found as a stray in November 2024 and transferred to our rescue in December, she’s been patiently building her confidence and preparing for a lifetime of love. Why You’ll Love Happy: ✨ Sweet and Shy – Happy may be a little timid at first, but once she feels safe, her warm and affectionate nature shines through. She wants nothing more than to love her person, be loved in return, and make them smile every day. ✨ Eager to Please – Happy thrives with positive reinforcement and gentle guidance. Harsh tones or negative gestures make her nervous, so she needs a patient home where kindness and encouragement help her continue to grow. ✨ Flexible Living Situation – Happy can thrive as an only dog if her person is home most of the time to keep her company. She would also enjoy having a confident, friendly dog sibling who matches her energy, enjoys play, and can help show her the ropes. ✨ Playful and Loving – She enjoys a good romp with her friends but is just as happy to snuggle up on the couch for some quiet time with her favorite person. ✨ A Brave Little Unicorn – Happy has done beautifully in playgroups and at adoption events, gaining confidence and showing just how special she truly is. While a calm, structured environment is always welcome, Happy can be acclimated quite well to an active lifestyle with someone willing to give her the time and encouragement she needs. With patience and positive experiences, we can see her eventually enjoying hikes, trails, and even participating in activities like agility. She would still do best in a home without young, active, or energetic children, as loud noises and sudden movements can be overwhelming while she continues to build her confidence.
