Hello there, I’m Princess Diana—just like the royal name suggests, I’m as down-to-earth and loving as they come. I may be a senior, but I’m young at heart with a bounce in my step! My story started when I was found as a stray down by the border. Thanks to a wonderful network of volunteers, I was brought to safety at the shelter. When no one came to claim me, this rescue stepped in so I could live in a cozy home environment while I wait for my new forever family. I’m the kind of girl who loves to follow you around—and I’ll happily run when I know we’re heading outside or over to the couch for cuddle time. As a tiny 6 lb pup, I’m looking forward to short daily walks, a healthy, high-quality diet, and annual vet check-ups to help me feel my very best. I’m crate trained and pee pad trained, though I much prefer going potty outside like the good girl I am. With my sweet Yorkie nature and soft, bashful eyes, I can win anyone over in no time. I can live with another dog if they’re similar to me in personality, but I’d also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. No cats for me, please. I’d also do best in a home without young kids, but I’d be happy to share my space with older, respectful children who understand boundaries. If you’re considering adopting me, I hope you’ll remember the Rule of 3s: The first 3 days are for decompressing and adjusting to a safe, quiet space. The next 3 weeks are for learning routines, building trust, and bonding. And in 3 months, I’ll truly feel at home, confident, and part of the family. With patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, I know I’ll thrive.
