TRICKSY IS PENDING ADOPTION - WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY MORE APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME FOR THIS PET

Hi, my name is Tricksy!

After being bounced from foster home to foster home I was transferred to this rescue where I have been able to settle and just be me! Though it's nice here, I am soooo ready to be in my forever home with my new forever family!

I’m happy go lucky, carefree, engaging, adaptive, and cheerful and I want to be with my person always! I really enjoy playing, and would love to entertain you with my antics! I do the cutest dance you've ever seen.

I would make a great playmate but would also love to join you on the couch, I’m happy either way! I can’t think of anything better than getting love and attention from my family! Affection is my middle name! When its chill time, forget the couch or the bed, lying in your cozy lap would make me happiest! Nothing would make me happier than to find a family to devote myself to! You won’t find a more dedicated, loving companion!

While I do get along with people I know, due to my size / age / personality I would do best in a home with older, respectful kids - as long as they understand I'm not a toy, we will get along great! I also need to be an only pet. Though I can tolerate being with other dogs from time to time, I really just need to be the center of your world!

I still need some help with my manners and learning and I would do well with some additional positive reinforcement training. I will need someone who is patient with me when we go on walks. Starting out on short walks so I can get to know the area to start will help me. When I get nervous about the big big world, I bark on leash, a lot! Patience and understanding will help me be a great walking companion.

Oh, something else, though I can hear a little bit, I am mostly deaf so when I do bark, it can seem a bit louder than it needs to be. I am also a talker, I can have a conversation and 'chitter chatter' with you or even just myself and be fully entertained :)

I also really do want to be with you all the time. The great thing is, I am crate trained and the rescue will share some tips on things that help me to be on my own when you do have to leave me home. Other than just wanting to be your constant companion and needing reassurance with new activities outside my home, I am a fantastic little dog!

If you think we may be a good match, or you would like to get to know me better, please click the Adoption Application button below and you will be contacted to set up a date!

Due to home introductions that are part of the adoption process, we can only accept applications for interested parties who are in or near San Diego County, California at this time.
