Hi! My name is Nikolai!

I was brought into a shelter as a stray and then transferred to rescue to help me find my forever home!

So a little bit about me; I'm a vegetarian and I love the outdoors.

My foster mom says 'He is happy and healthy. He loves to explore the backyard and eat lots of leaves and flowers. He enjoys warm baths right after waking up. If you can plant arugula and lettuce seeds in the backyard he would love to eat them straight from the garden. He knows his name! He walks in the backyard and climbs the slope every day.'

Though there is no way to really tell what age I am, based on my color and size I am probably within the 20 - 35 years range. My species can live more than 50 years if we have a lean, high-fiber diet and a low-stress environment with the right temps and light. Bringing me into your family is a lifelong commitment, for both of us!

I require an outdoor enclosure and possibly a safe place inside when the weather is bad. Don't worry, the rescue will provide you with all of the information that you will need to prepare for my arrival :)

2- We do not ship reptiles but we may be willing to work with you if you are willing to travel if you are still in Southern California.
3- #2 will depend on the animal that you are applying for and is at the discretion of the board of directors.
